Mammy came home that night,
head bowed, eyes sunk.
There was nothing to do,
just watch her sit there
quiet, still.
He left her with two kids – a cripple and an obstinate.
Sunday they buried Mammy.
too much, I wish I could. sorry.
Not enough to fill her,
not enough,
not then,
not when he loved her.
Never enough.
Mammy left.
I hope she finds what she needs.
Goodbye Mammy.
